New GLODEM AI & CSS Seminar Series bring together practitioners working on AI usage in various fields and scholars specializing in computational social sciences.

Koç University and GLODEM hosted the 18th Annual JCPA-ICPA Scholarly Society Virtual Workshop on September 11-12, 2020. The workshop was titled “What Does Comparative Policy Analysis Have to Do with the Structure, Institution and Agency Debate?”. It was conducted on Zoom.

GLODEM became a partner of the UK’s top political economy research institute, Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI).

Caner Bakir joined the international advisory board for the series, Studies in the Political Economy of Public Policy (SPEPP) published by Palgrave Macmillan.

GLODEM Director Caner Bakir serves as a member of The Harold Lasswell Prize Committee for the best article in Policy Sciences, and the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis Best Article Award Committee.

GLODEM Director Caner Bakir has been appointed as National Member of the Management Committee of the COST Action CA15207 Professionalization and Social Impact of European Political Science representing Türkiye.

Reşat Bayer was a speaker at the First Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States Conference on Mediation, titled “Surge in Mediation: The Role of the OIC,” in Istanbul on 21 November 2017. He was invited to speak on the session entitled “Perspectives on the Role of Regional Organizations in Mediation.” The Conference was hosted by Türkiye.

The 5^th Peacemakers Conference “Migration and Securitization of Europe: Views from the Balkan Corridor” was held on July 16, 2016 at Research Center For Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) followed by a 3-day Workshop.

The 6^th Eurasian Peace Science Conference took place at Özyeğin University on July 22nd, 2016.

GLODEM became an International Institutional Member, also referred to as Sponsor, of the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis (JCPA) and the International Comparative Policy Analysis Forum (ICPA- Forum).Institutional membership is by invitation only and represents recognition of the contributions made to the field of comparative public policy by the institution, its educational programs, the scholarly reputation of its faculty and the research they produce.

The 3^rd International Conferene on Public Policy took place at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, SINGAPORE from Wednesday 28th June to Friday 30th June 2017.

Caner Bakir attended T20 Public Launch : Transforming Global Governance event on February 10 at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul.

GLODEM is a member of the Think20 National Advisory Board. T20 is a network of think tanks and academics from G20 countries that are working to provide an important analytical input into the G20 process.Türkiye assumed the presidency of the G-20 in 2015. The 2015 G-20 Türkiye summit will be the tenth meeting of the G-20 heads of government.
